Sydney Houston brings a unique depth of hands-on experience to her role as a Social Security Disability attorney. Before becoming a lawyer, she spent seven years as a legal assistant at Troutman & Troutman.
She worked directly with disability claimants, helping them prepare their files, communicate with Social Security, and understand the overwhelming process of applying for and appealing for disability benefits.
Through this work, she saw the real struggles Oklahomans face when health problems prevent them from working and how complex the path to receiving life-changing financial relief can be.
That experience inspired Sydney to pursue law school and become an attorney herself, so she could do even more to stand up for the clients she’d grown to care about deeply.
“Working so closely with clients and our attorneys for so many years, I saw the difference this work makes in people’s lives,” Sydney said. “I knew I wanted to take on a greater role and help guide people through this process with both skill and compassion.”
