Tulsa Disability Lawyer Explains Complexity of Disability Appeals Process
It is possible for someone who is applying for disability to appeal a denial on his or her own. However, the laws surrounding disability appeals are complex, and most disability applicants will be unaware of the legal avenues that they have for pursuing appeals. That is why it is important to discuss your case with a disability lawyer to ensure you know the best path to receiving the benefits that you need. In this video, Tulsa SSDI lawyer Darren Rackley goes into detail. Disability attorneys are among the most affordable attorneys out there. We know that it can be difficult to put together any meaningful income while suffering from disability. That is why we offer consultations at no charge to potential disability applicants, and we work on contingency. This means if we are not successful in the appeal, we do not charge you attorney fees.

It would be possible to file an appeal without an attorney, but it’s not recommended. It’s a pretty complex process and having an attorney definitely makes life a lot easier. They might have to appear and present things on their own that an attorney would save them having to do that. The chances of winning are much higher because the attorney might give them a chance of going back for another hearing whereas they have no knowledge of the law and they won’t know how to present the case to the court. I do everything and it’s mainly on the briefs, and then we just notify them of what the court decides. There’s nothing they need to do other than contact us as soon as possible after they’ve been denied. While it is possible for someone who is denied disability benefits to appeal the denial on his or her own, it is highly recommended to instead discuss the denial with an SSDI lawyer. Why? Without an acute understanding of the complex field of Social Security disability law, it is likely that a person will be unaware of the many avenues he or she has to continue the case. In this video, Tulsa SSDI attorney Darren Rackley explains the benefits of hiring a lawyer to handle your case.
