How Do I Know If I Am Eligible For SSDI?Tulsa SSDI Lawyer Explains Disability Eligibility
At our disability law firm, we believe that a swift and honest approach to your disability claim is the best way to ensure that you are able to move on with your life and take care of yourself. In this video, Tulsa SSDI attorney Gayle Troutman explains how judges handle disability cases differently, and why being upfront and honest with our clients is important to us. Our law firm offers free initial evaluations for prospective disability applicants as well as people who have applied and been denied by Social Security.
We’re honest with people. It doesn’t do you any good to be told apply for this case when we know that it’s highly unlikely that you’re going to qualify. You need to know the truth so that you can plan your life. If you sit around for three years thinking you’re going to get these and really you’re not, I’ve had clients where I told them I just don’t think you’re going to qualify. I think you should be working. And everyone in his family had been telling him he was disabled. I was the first person to tell him go to work. And he went and got a job. He came back to me and thanked me because he was happier! He was happier because he was working. People don’t want to be disabled. But there’s a human element to all of this. Some of the judges are more claimant-friendly than others, and there’s a variety of range of reasonableness that one judge may have found you disabled and the other one found you not, and both of them could be reasonable.
