Do you know what NOSSCR is? It’s a very important organization, especially for people with disabilities. The National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, or NOSSCR for short, helps spread high-quality representation and advocacy practices to disability attorneys all over the country. And guess what, the attorneys here at Troutman & Troutman, P.C., were asked to help teach those high standards.
Troutman & Troutman Goes to Washington for NOSSCR Spring Conference!
Every year NOSSCR holds several conferences all across the country. Its goal is to improve the quality of representation for people with disabilities who are locked in the legal system. This year’s spring conference was held in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C., where a mountain of educational resources was made available.
Workshops at the conference include: Cross-Examining the Medical Advisor, How to Prepare Disability Clients for Effective Hearing Testimony, and Recent Regulatory Changes Addressing Medical Source Evidence. However, your Tulsa disability attorneys were asked to teach two special classes to help expand their colleagues’ knowledge of disability law.
Gayle and Steve Troutman taught a course on fees, and better understanding how they work. Later, Steve also helped Erin Stackenwalt as she led a class on how workers’ compensation benefits can affect Social Security Disability benefits.
At Troutman & Troutman, not only do we help Oklahomans with disabilities get the benefits they need, we spread our knowledge so others can help as well.
