Where Can I Find A Broken Arrow Disability Attorney?

Broken Arrow is located in northeastern Oklahoma, primarily situated in Tulsa County, but with sections of land that enter into western Wagoner County. It is the largest suburb of Tulsa, with a population of nearly 103,000 residents. It is the fourth largest city in Oklahoma.

The city is part of the Tulsa Metropolitan Area, which boasts a population of nearly a million residents. William S. Fears, the secretary of the Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad in 1902, named the city Broken Arrow. It was named for a community settled by Creek Indians who were forced to relocate from Alabama to Oklahoma along the Trail of Tears.

Initially, the town’s economy was based on agriculture. However, during the 1960s Broken Arrow began to morph into a suburban town, as the Broken Arrow Expressway (Oklahoma State Highway 51) was constructed, connecting the city to downtown Tulsa.

Currently, Broken Arrow has a diverse economy. Major employers include FlightSafety International, Blue Bell Creameries, and Windstream Communications. Family Circle Magazine has named the city as one of the 10 best towns for families.

The city is served by Broken Arrow Public Schools and by Northeastern State University (Broken Arrow campus). It also has two public libraries, the Broken Arrow Library and South Broken Arrow Library. The city also utilizes public transportation services provided by Tulsa Transit.
