The city is served by Tulsa Transit, which operates buses with daily routes and services to suburban areas, including Broken Arrow, Sand Springs and Jenks. The Tulsa International Airport is the home to 10 commercial airlines, making almost 80 departures daily.

The city is the county seat of Tulsa County, which is the most densely-populated county in Oklahoma. The city is also the home of several colleges, including Oral Roberts University, the University of Tulsa and Tulsa Community College.

Local media outlets include the region’s largest newspaper, the Tulsa World, as well as KJRH-TV, KOTV-TV, KTUL-TV, KOED-TV and KOKI-TV.
